Business Superbrands publication to be launched
Superbrands Lanka is expected to hold its annual awards for Sri
Lanka's branding elite on the 12th of August. The crème de la crème of
branding and marketing will be in attendance at this year's Business
Superbrands Tribute Event.
One of Sri Lanka's most respected consumer marketing professionals
Amal Cabraal will speak on Unilever's insights on corporate branding,
which will be followed by an eminent international speaker on how
corporate accountability can impact corporate image.
Awards will be presented to the successful Business-to-Business 2008
brands. The Superbrands book, Sri Lanka's own branding bible, will also
be distributed at the awards ceremony.
Director Marketing of Superbrands Lanka, Ms. Sharmila Cassim,
commenting on the occasion said "it is a chance for Sri Lanka's branding
superpowers to assemble together; a chance to meet, share their
strengths and network - to inspire a new united vision to drive Sri
Lanka's continued economic growth and prosperity".
According to Ms. Cassim, the publication is expected to provide some
interesting insights on what made these companies so successful, how
they were able to thrive in the Sri Lanka market and how they competed
internationally.
The Superbrands programme is an aspirational benchmark for businesses
operating in this country. It is awarded to only a select few
top-performing brands.
A Superbrands rating is today the worldwide benchmark that recognizes
brands with significant strategic focus and commitment for achieving
extraordinary results, and is one of the most prestigious international
symbols of excellence that is available.
