SAARC Youth Camp begins today

The third SAARC Youth Camp will be held from July 28th - August 1 at the National Youth Centre Maharagama in view of the 15th SAARC Summit.

Eighty youth delegates from eight SAARC countries will participate.

The theme of the camp is partnership for our people.

Youth Affairs Ministry Secretary S. Wirithamulla will inaugurate the ceremony at 9.30 a.m. The welcome dinner hosted by the Youth Affairs Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi will be held at the Water’s edge Battaramulla at 7. p.m. on the same day.

The open discussion on partnership for our people will be held on July 30 at 1.30 p.m. Under sports, outward bound activities will take place from 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Youth Centre grounds.

A cultural show will also be held from 8. p.m. to 10 p.m. with the music and dance items of SAARC countries at the National Youth Theare, Maharagama.
