SAARC meetings begin in Colombo:

The 15th SAARC Summit which got off the ground in Colombo yesterday is set to adopt a series of measures with the main focus on a joint approach to combating terrorism, maximising energy and water resources, food security, poverty alleviation in addition to several other key issues concerning the region.

Ambewela invests Rs 1 b in dairy plant

 Ambewela Products (Pvt) Ltd will invest Rs. one billion to set up a modern dairy plant which will be one of a kind in South Asia. Director Finance and Administration, Ambewela Farms, Ranjit Attygalle said the dairy plant is scheduled to commence operations in December.
