South Asian People's Summit
The 7th People's Summit organised by South Asia Partnership
International (SAP) in collaboration with South Asia Partnership Sri
Lanka (SAPSRI) on the theme "Women in Democratic Governance" with
special emphasis on violence against women in politics, will be held on
July 16 from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. at Trans Asia Hotel.
The Summit will underscore the importance of participation of women
in democratic governance.
The deliberations of the Summit will be forwarded to the Heads of
States of different SAARC countries for their attention, prior to the
15th SAARC Summit scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka from July 27th to
August 3.
Ferial Ashraf, Housing and Common Amenities Minister will be the
Chief Guest. |
