Eagle workshops to educate teachers
Eagle will start conducting its Samana Regional Workshops in Matara
and Kandy. Over 1200 participants will participate in these full-day
programmes. This series of regional workshops will be more focused and
interactive.
The workshops are scheduled to be held at the Matara Samupakara
Mandira Auditorium in Matara on July 19, and at St. Anthony’s Boys’
College, Main Hall - Katugastota on July 26, from 9 am to 4.30 pm.
Workbooks and specially developed reading materials including a
comprehensive book on “How to develop a bright child” authored by Daya
Rohana Athukorala will be given to all participants. Approximately 600
teachers are expected to attend each workshop.
The core objective of Eagle Samana is to enhance the knowledge of
teachers who work with disabled children, through a series of regular
region-wide workshops and training modules featuring recognised resource
persons in the field of special education.
This workshop will also include mainstream pre-school teachers as
well.
This CSR initiative was implemented after the company identified the
prevalent need to enhance the competencies of educators of children with
disabilities.
This initiative will ensure that these children will be benefited by
the development of their teachers’ knowledge and capability in relation
to; education, moulding a well-balanced personality and facilitating
psychological welfare and stability to enable them to harness their
potential.

Singapore Informatics Offensive Security 101
Learn latest hacking and countermeasure tools and
techniques:
Singapore Informatics, is launching the latest Network Security
Certification programme- Offensive Security 101 V.2.0 in Sri Lanka.
An Information Security Specialist must know how to use the tools,
tricks and techniques to implement a network defense. Only with this
knowledge then we can honestly expect someone to be able to properly
defend his system and network against hackers and also to detect if an
intrusion has occurred.
“Offensive Security 101 v.2.0” is a course designed for network
administrators and security professionals who need to get acquainted
with the world of offensive security. The course introduces the latest
hacking tools and techniques, and includes remote live labs for
exercising the material presented to the students.
This course gives a solid understanding of the penetration testing
process, and is equally important for those wanting to either defend or
attack their network.
The purpose of this workshop is to give end users hands on training
on how to access their own security posture for their organisation.
This workshop will also identify weaknesses of current security
products and software’s ranging from Microsoft platforms and also other
operating systems. The tools that would be explained are exploit codes
from major hacker community and the vulnerabilities that are current and
latest threats.
Trainer for the course is Desmond Alexander from Malaysia who
conducted the very successful CEH and CHFI courses from EC-Council since
2003 at Singapore Informatics. He is a well-known trainer in Asia and
Europe for his IT security training expertise. He has more than 15 years
experience in Information Technology with emphasis on information
security and consulting.
The four day Offensive Security workshop would be held from Aug.
7-Aug.10 at 2nd Floor, Liberty Plaza, Colombo 3 from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00
