Tharanga included for warm-up game
Opening batsman Upul Tharanga was given a chance to regain his place
in the forthcoming home Test series against India after being named in
the 12 member squad for a three day warm up match against the tourists.
The Indian team will arrive today and will open their tour with a
three day practice game against a Sri Lanka Board XI at the NCC grounds
in Maitland Place.
This will be the tourists' only fixture before the three-Test series
begins on July 23. India will also play five one-day internationals
after the Test series.
The Board XI squad also includes fast bowler Dilhara Fernando and
batsman Chamara Silva, who are expected to figure in the Test series.
