Bangladesh draw with Nepal

The fifth South Asian Seven a Side Soccer championship for the
Carlton Challenge Trophy continued for the second day yesterday at the
Vincent Dias stadium with the Bangladesh vs Nepal match.
Bangladesh playing their first game yesterday could not come out with
a good performance drawing at one all. At half time Bangladesh were in
front with a goal scored by Maloy Barman. The second session saw
Nepalese come out with a strong fight to equalize through Vitam Gurung.
The game ended with the same score.
The second game for the morning was between India and Nepal which
became a one sided game with Nepalese making strong fight back to beat
the Indians six goals to nil.
The skipper of Nepal Raj Kumar was outstanding in this game scoring
four goals inclusive of a hattrick.
The third match for the morning session was played between India and
Bangladesh. Here too the Indians were a no match for the Bangladesh as
they have struck good form. Bangladesh opened scoring in the early
stages of the game to be in the forefront.
They opened scoring in the first minute of the game and continued to
trouble the unsettled Indians at every given moment scoring at will and
went on have fine lead of four goals before the half way mark.
The second session was more favourable to the Bangladesh as they went
on to add five more goals during this half and sealed the match in their
favour with a huge margin of nine goals to nil victory. |
