Three shot dead in Kalmunai

Three youths were shot dead by an unidentified gang in Udayar road, Kalmunai yesterday morning.

Police spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekera said the three youth who had gone in a lorry selling mattresses to Kalmunai were shot dead by the unidentified gang around 8.00 a.m. in Udayar road.

"The three were killed on the spot," he added.

The victims were identified as Indika Jayasekera, 22, Wasantha Premakumara, 24 and A. Namal Budhika, 22, residents of Boralaskada, Mawathagama.
