Kohona visits Brunei

Dr. Palitha T.B. Kohona, Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Acting Foreign Secretary and sister of His Majesty the Sultan during a visit to Brunei Darussalam.

Dr. Kohona briefed Her Royal Highness on the current political situation in Sri Lanka including the determined efforts of the Government to counter the LTTE terrorism and also its political initiatives.

He also discussed with Her Royal Highness the initiatives undertaken by the Government of President Rajapaksa to address the concerns of the minorities, in particular, the Tamil community.

They also discussed the possibilities for Sri Lankan businesses to access the Brunei market as well as the potential for the Brunei Investment Agency to invest in Sri Lanka.
