TMVP has no links with Tigers - Spokesman

COLOMBO: General Secretary of the TMVP Azad Maulana, has denied recent media reports regarding the TMVP and the LTTE.

Stressing his views to Lankapuvath in an interview, he said that the TMVP had identified the LTTE as a terrorist organisation and would never get involved with the LTTE’s brutal terror activities.

However, some media organisations had wrongly branded them as LTTE supporters, he said. He appealed to all media organisations, not to mislead the people with false information by linking their party with LTTE to achieve petty political advantages. He also said that the TMVP is a party which obeys democracy.
