Lincang China to promote tourism

Zhang Jinfan, the Director of Tourism Administration of Lincang Municipal who was in Colombo with 16 Chinese delegates on an eight day visit to the island, said that they were happy with their visit.

The 16 encompassed officials of the Tourism Administration Lincang Municipal Government Yunnan, China where members from the Tourism Bureau of Cangyuan County, Yun County, Shuangjiang County, Zhenkang County, Fengquing County and Linxiang District were also part of the team.

The group consisted of 3 members from the Lincang ethnic minority - the 'Wa' people who gave a spice of their culture with their singing. They visited Sri Lanka to experience it as a Tourism destination and also to study the development aspects pertaining to Tourism.

The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau extended their support for this delegation to visit the Cultural Triangle and also assisted upon arrival at the airport in Sri Lanka.

Special arrangements were made by the Travel Development Consultant to Lincang, Nihal Perera to see the Inner Chamber of the Sacred Tooth Relics.

The arrangements were done by Sparklink Holidays and Tours.

The delegations is also looking at promoting tourism.
