Captain resigns from JKH Board

The Board of Directors of John Keells Holdings Plc., announced the resignation of Rusi Captain from the Board of Directors of John Keells Holdings Plc. with immediate effect.

In a letter to Chairman of John Keells Holdings Susantha Ratnayake, Captain stated that his resignation was due to his greater involvement in his varied business interests.

Ratnayake expressed his appreciation of his contribution to the Group during his tenure as a director and thanked him for the confidence expressed in the company and the management team.

New stock broker

S K M Lanka Holdings (Private) Limited has been granted a license to carry on the business of a Stock Broker in terms of Section 19 of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka Act No 36 of 1987.

The license has been granted subject to compliance with the licensing requirements imposed by the SEC, including a requirement to ensure that S K M Lanka Holdings brings in substantive foreign investment.
