SLPSA to help affected Palestinians

The Sri Lanka-Palestine Solidarity Association (SLPSA) at a meeting at the Labour Relations and Manpower Ministry decided to send food, clothing and other items for distribution among Palestinian people affected by clashes between Israel and Palestine.

Minister Athauda Seneviratne who presided said President Rajapaksa has directed the Association to distribute food, medicine, clothing, and other items possible to help the destitute Palestinians affected by war.

Seneviratne said President Rajapaksa had close links with Palestine and he would request Muslims in the East to further strengthen the President's hands by supporting the UPFA at the forthcoming PC elections. Western Province Governor Alavi Mowlana, Palestine Ambassador Dr. Anwar Al Agha and Presidential Advisor A.H.M. Azwer were present.
