Mackinnons Amex Travels' strategic decision to relocate pays off
well
The strategic decision made by Mackinnons American Express Travels to
relocate its head office from Colombo Fort to a more accessible location
after a period of 35 years has paid rich dividends, resulting in an
increased leisure customer volume of 20% in comparison to the previous
year.
The company made this announcement recently, parallel to the first
anniversary celebrations of moving in to the more centralized and
customer friendly office complex with state-of-the-art facilities and
ample parking, located in Colombo 2.
"At Mackinnons American Express Travels, our vision is to provide a
complete range of high quality services to our corporate and individual
customers, beyond their expectations. We continuously strive to increase
the standards of our services as well.
Keeping on par with this vision, we relocated our office complex, in
order to provide our customers with ease of access and reduce the
hassles they would have to face when visiting us such as heavy traffic
and difficulty of finding parking space", the CEO of Mackinnons American
Express Travels and Senior Vice President of John Keells Holdings Group,
Trevor Rajaratnam stated.
"In addition to ease of access and parking facilities of the size of
a football field, the new office also comprises distinctive departments
for different passenger needs, such as corporate and retail travel,
outbound holidays, foreign exchange issuance, and visa and immigration
facilitation to serve clients with greater efficiency," he added.
Mackinnons American Express Travels which was established in 1972 is
a joint venture between Sri Lanka's leading conglomerate John Keells
Holdings PLC and the world's No. 1 travel agency, American Express
International Inc. |
