Providence gains int'l reputation

The Sri Lankan-based software and web application development company, Providence is rapidly gaining a global reputation. The company's most successful project, GPnotebook was recently mentioned in two leading British publications, and they also participated in CeBIT 2008, world's leading ICT exhibition in Germany.

GPnotebook is among the integrated web application and development projects undertaken by Providence. It is today an extremely popular website with both doctors and medical students in the UK. With a massive user-base ranging from interested members of the public to specialist physicians, it attracts a staggering number of hits every day. Joint Managing Director of Providence Vaz Gnanam said this is one of the most successful applications of its kind.

Providence also left a mark at CeBIT, the world's largest trade fair showcasing digital IT and telecommunications solutions. This exhibition which was held in early March in Hanover, Germany attracted around 500,000 visitors from industry, the wholesale/retail sector, skilled trades, banks, the services sector, government agencies and scientific institutions.

CeBIT offered an international platform for comparing notes on current industry trends, networking, and product presentations. Joint Managing Director, Jeevan Gnanam said they considered it a privilege to be selected for this event, which brought together all the leading players in the information and communication technology industry. He felt that this was an ideal opportunity to showcase their potential. This event enabled exhibitors to forge promising deals as it has a reputation for being the most important place for potential buyers from the key user sectors.

According to Dr. Vaz, their phenomenal success is largely due to their emphasis on customer service, timely delivery, quality and value for money.
