Political circles are abuzz with talk of a meeting reportedly held at the residence of MP Ravi Karunanayake aimed at ending the political career of a powerful and popular MP from the JVP.

MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake and a Western envoy have also been involved in the discussion, according to inside sources.

Clipping the Parliamentary privileges of the MP has also been discussed. Several JVP MPs including Lal Kantha had criticised the MP in question recently.
