Inaugural kids sport carnival

The Kids talent identification challenge, a sport carnival for the kids organised by the Colombo District Athletic Association with the help of donations Indonesia will be worked off tomorrow at the Sugathadasa Stadium from 8.45a.m.

Over 884 participants from 12 international schools and 43 government schools of Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara Districts will compete in this programme under four age groups, namely Under 8, 9, 10 and 12.

'Janet Cosmetics' have given a helping hand as the official sponsor for this inaugural kids meet.

The organizers expect to spread out in the other Districts in future.

Certificates will be on offer for every kid who finishes the respective events within their standards.

All the participants are expected to be presented at the Stadium before 7.30a.m. for registrations.

The events to be worked off are: Under 8 and 9 Throwing ball, U-8 - Zig zag 40m, U-8 50m, U-9 60m, U-10 75m, U-10,11,12 Long jump, U-10,11,12 High jump and U-11,12 100m.
