Lustre 2008 begins
Lustre Sri Lanka 2008 national gem and jewellery show organised by
the Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Association will commence today at BMICH
and would end on 30.
There will be participation of silver and gold jewellery
manufacturers, costume jewellery manufacturers, ethnic jewellery
manufacturers, lapidarists, heat treaters, jewellery designers, dealers,
gemologists and equipment suppliers.
The main objective of organising this event is to extend assistance
and support to the small and medium scale manufacturers, educating local
customers on the latest international trends, encouraging manufacturers
and seek assistance from Government and related organisations to enhance
local industry.
Kishu to address HSGA
Hotel School Graduates Association (HSGA) will host a presentation on
'Power to Perform' (Unleashing the Sri Lankan potential towards Sri
Lankan renaissance and self reliance) today 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Ceylon
Hotel School Kishu Gomes would deliver the lecture.
St Anthony's CSR porjects
Rhino Asbestos a subsidiary of St Anthony's Group will be donating an
operating theatre in memory of its founder Chairman late A. Y. S. Gnanam
to the Maharagama cancer hospital at a cost of Rs. 10 million.
The ground breaking ceremony will be held today at 10 a.m. at the
hospital premises.
The two-storied complex would be completed by August 2007. |
