Eight students for children’s summit in Japan

Eight students under the patronage of the Education Ministry who secured the highest marks at the Year Five Scholarship Examination will participate at the 20th Asian Pacific Children’s Summit which will be held in Fukoka, Japan in July under the theme `World Peace and Co-existence’.

According to Education Ministry sources, eight students who will represent Sri Lanka at the Summit have been selected based on the results of Year Five Scholarship Examination.

The students will get the advantage of sharing their experience with students from 50 countries, Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said. A teacher, Sujeewa Lakmali of Ga/Watugedara Sripathie Maha Vidyalaya will accompany the students.
