Holiday Inn has invested Rs. 80 m to referbish their ballroom to
international standards.
“The management would also invest a further Rs. 150 million for a
large car park next year said Director Imitiaz J. Carder.
“The Liberty is now equipped with a state-of-the-art DMX lighting
system, the first of its kind in Colombo. A sophisticated and hi-tech
system that can give light to any designer/decorator/event planner’s
fantasies with 16.7 million colours to choose from,” said Business
Development Manager Holiday Inn, Wasim Carder .
The space can be transformed at the click of a button: romantic,
magical, seductive, alluring, glitzy, bold, dramatic, tranquil or
serene.
The depth, brightness and intensity of colour can be adjusted to suit
the decor/theme of the event. Work with a combination of two or more
colours across the ballroom.
There is also the option of lighting up areas of the ballroom in
various shades at different times in keeping with the proceedings of the
event. Specific points or features of the room can also be highlighted.
“The lighting facilities imported from Singapore available at the
Liberty Ballroom will provide decor and design options, for events and
functions, which are convenient and cost effective,” said Food and
Beverage manager Lasantha de Silva.
He said this Ballroom has added to meet the growing demand of their
clients. (SS) |
