Sri Lanka's star test batsman Kumar Sangakkara has been elected President of the newly formed Trinity College Cricket Foundation at the inaugural meeting held in Kandy.

Kumar Sangakkara is without any doubt the finest batsman to come out of the portals of Trinity College and it presented he is ranked number one in the world ranking of test batsman.

The formation of the Trinity College Cricket Foundation is to promote and develop the standard of cricket at Trinity College especially at the lower levels and the nursery needs a lot to be done if cricket at Trinity is to progress at the intermediary and senior level.
