Inefficient depot superintendent removed

Transport Minister Dullas Alahapperuma has instructed the Ceylon Transport Board (CTB) authorities to remove the Depot Superintendent of CTB, Puttalam due to his alleged inefficiency in handling the affairs and administration of the depot with immediate effect.

Minister Alahapperuma took this decision based on the report produced by the independent committee appointed to prob the inefficiency of the CTB, Puttalam depot. "No room will be kept for any officer to hinder the Government's efforts in restoring the CTB to its pristine glory," Minister Alahapperuma said.
