Amara Gee Sara in Dubai

Sinhala Music Maestro Pandit Amaradeva's 'Amara Gee Sara' live in concert will be in Dubai next week.

The concert - which is in aid of the continuation of Tsunami scholarships - will be held at the Sheik Rashid Auditorium, Indian High School, Dubai, on February 29.

Other artistes participating will be Wimala Amaradeva, Subhani Amaradeva, Wijeratne Ranatunga, D.D. Gunasena, Thissasiri Perera, Nalaka Anjana Kumara, Randula Caldera and Sri Nimal Padmakumara.

DDC and DCC meetings in Batticaloa

The Batticaloa District Development Council (DDC) meeting and District Co-ordinating Committee (DCC) meeting will be held at 9.30 a.m. on February 25 at the Batticaloa District Secretariat. This is the first meeting scheduled this year.

Eastern Province Governor Mohan Wijewickrama and Relief Services Minister M.S.S. Ameer Ali will preside. Government Agent Batticaloa S. Arumainayagam, Divisional Secretaries and all the Heads of Department of the District will attend the meeting.


Programme for professionals

The Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Centres in Sri Lanka have organised a programme for young professionals on the topic 'Values in Professionals Life' to be held on Thursday February 28 from 5.30 p.m. at the Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Centre, 124, Sri Gunananda Mawatha, Kotahena.
