Leo Burnett awarded most at Chillies 2008
Leo Burnett Solutions Inc. (LBSI), the local office of the
internationally acclaimed advertising agency network Leo Burnett
Worldwide, celebrated a resounding success as it retained its position
as most awarded agency at the Sri Lankan Advertising Awards. - The
Chilies 2008.
Winning an impressive haul of 16 metals (4 Silver and 12 Bronze),
across all categories, LBSI was further gratified to learn that it had
won almost a third of all metal awarded at last Saturday’s awards.
This remarkable result was further sweetened for the agency as they
also won a Bronze for StageLight & Magic’s Pusswedilla in the coveted
“Campaign of the Year” category.
The many successes ultimately reinforced the young agency’s
reputation of being the most awarded creative agency in Sri Lanka today,
as its wins at the Chilies 2008 follows on from similar success at last
year’s Chilies when it was also recognised as the most awarded agency.
A number of LBSI’s highly successful campaigns were awarded with
Silver metals in some of the night’s most coveted categories, including
one Radio Silver for Mobitel’s “News Reader” Radio Commercial, one TV
Silver for Sri Lanka Insurance’s “Jag” TV Commercial, and two Integrated
Silvers for ODEL’s “Harry Potter Magical Coffee Cup” for Ambient and
Point Of Sale (POS) executions.
Of special significance was LBSI’s receipt of accolades from across a
number of categories - Print, Radio, TV and Integrated - which was also
awarded to a diverse cross section of the agency’s clients, including
Mobitel, ODEL, Hilton Colombo, Sri Lanka Insurance, Hi Magazine,
StageLight & Magic’s Pusswedilla, Koluu’s “I feel pretty” show, and
Navajeevana Rehabilitation Tangalla.
LBSI’s stellar collection of metals won from across all categories
follows the agency’s exceptional performance at other award shows held
locally.
At Chilies 2007, the agency walked away with the most number of
awards presented, including a highly coveted Gold award for their well
crafted TV campaign for Good Knight.
In an unparalleled feat, LBSI is also the only agency to walk away
with the TV gold for two consecutive years at the Chilies, in 2006 and
2007.
The creative powerhouse also won the highest number of awards at the
2007 Reggie Candappa Craft Awards - the Reggies - with an impressive 14
awards.
