Food safety workshop
A one-day workshop organised by the Ind-Expo Certification in
collaboration with the Negombo Hoteliers Association on Food Safety to
staff and related food handlers in the Industry will be held tomorrow at
Browns Beach Hotel, Negombo.
This workshop is the first in the series of workshops being planned
to be conducted islandwide with the assistance of United Nations
Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) under its project on
Strengthening International Certification capacity in Sri Lanka with
particular reference to Social Responsibility and Food Safety standards.
Market ends positive
The market closed on a positive note with both price indices
recording gains. The All Share Price Index increased by 13.42 points to
2,516.97 while the Milanka Price Index stands at 3,162.72 with an
increase of 15.07 points.
The turnover for the day was Rs. 532.7 million. The top five gainers
for the day were, Alufab, Balangoda Plantations, Kotagala Plantations,
Colombo Fort Land and Building and Namunukula Plantations.
The top five losers for the day were, Seylan Merchant Bank (non
voting) Metropolitan Resource Holding, Blue Diamonds (non voting)
Alliance Finance and Environmental resources Colombo Dockyard announced
a first and final dividend of Rs. 3 per share yesterday. |
