HRM learning conference on February 21

The Learning Conference component of the HRM Awards 2007 Super 10 will be held on February 21 at the King's Court, Trans Asia Hotel.

This conference is the penultimate event of the grand finale awards night - the Oscars of human resources management excellence aiming to spotlight and promote the importance of HRM.

The one-day conference will focus on three key issues.

Becoming an employer of choice, creating a high performance organisation and rewarding performance are some of the topics of importance and currency -delivered by top HR experts from all over the world espousing the latest in human resource management, research findings and experiences to local HRM professionals.

HRM Awards 2007 Super 10 organised by the Association of Human Resource Professionals (HRP) of Sri Lanka will select and rank the top 10 HRM practitioners of excellence.

More than 100 corporate entities are vying for honours in the competition in its first year itself.

Partnering HRP in the event is Hewitt Associates India, the world's specialist and leader in Human Resource Management.

"Human Resource is the most valuable factor of any organisation. It boils down to productivity and overall corporate performance and separates dynamic, vibrant organisations from mediocre ones", Chairman of the HR Learning Conference - Organising Committee Rohan Pandithakoralage said.

"We have organised the HRM Awards Super 10 as an annual feature to continuously spotlight the importance of HRM and its impact on corporate performance, to recognise and honour top performers", he said.
