SPONSORSHIP: Left to Right Melanie Kanka - Chairperson Technical Symposium Committee, Aruna Fernando - President Sri Lanka Division, Prem Thampi - Country Head, ICICI Bank, Bradley Emerson - CEO CIMA Sri Lanka Division and Aruna Alwis - Director Operations CIMA Sri Lanka.

ICICI Bank, India's second largest bank, will associate with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Sri Lanka Division (CIMA) as the main sponsors of the CIMA Technical Symposium scheduled to be held on February 15, at the BMICH, Colombo.

Speaking at the presentation of the sponsorship package to the organizers of the event, Prem Thampi, Head of ICICI Bank Sri Lanka, said, "CIMA is a global brand and we are pleased to join hands with an internationally reputed institute of this stature to promote a flagship event of accounting professionals that complements well for the participants, organizers and as well as the sponsors".

Having understood the impact that CIMA has created in the Sri Lankan market and its contribution towards the economy with many of its members holding crucial positions in the corporate sector, we as a Bank with a growing presence in Sri Lanka feel a great sense of satisfaction partnering a programme aimed at developing skills and enhancing the knowledge of such accounting professionals, he said.

This year's symposium is based on 'Risk Management for Sustainable Business Success' and is synonymous in the current context. ICICI Bank will itself present a paper at the forum.

President of CIMA Sri Lanka Division, Aruna Fernando, said: "I would like to thank ICICI Bank for their sponsorship of this event which is designed to enhance the technical competencies of our members.

It is encouraging to see such an International bank, a recent entrant to the Sri Lankan market, recognize the significance of supporting the accounting fraternity in Sri Lanka".
