Standard Chartered Bank helps Maharagama Cancer Hospital

The Standard Chartered Bank has for the 14th consecutive year continued support the Maharagma Cancer Hospital in the maintenance and upkeep of the men’s wards 3 and 4. In 2004, the wards were fully refurbished and toilet facilities were upgraded.

The Bank has installed two reception desks. A designated dining area; separate from the ward was also cordoned off and set up by the Bank staff. A separate section was also established for medicine mixing purposes.

The staff and patients of the Cancer Hospital greeted the Standard Chartered Bank CEO, Clive Haswell and his staff as they visited each patient with special gift packs and took time to find out more about each of them and their needs.

CEO of the Bank, Clive Haswell said: “This is an important opportunity for us to think about others during a season and time when we tend to get caught up in making our own arrangements.

I am proud of my staff and their personal commitment to seeing to the needs of this hospital and its patients.”
