Lankan wins Canada’s Royal Bank Award
The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) the largest bank in Canada in terms of
assets and market capitalisation has honoured Mario Motha, one of its
Sri Lankan-born officers in recognition of his exceptional performance.
This year during the employee evaluation and service programme he was
bestowed with Royal Bank’s Highest Award for Excellence in Canada for
2007.
Motha migrated from Sri Lanka to Canada with his family in 2000.
After joining the Royal Bank of Canada he has been working at the RBC in
an array of roles whilst working up the corporate ladder.
His dedication and hard work was fully rewarded with his being
appointed as a Credit Officer in the Visa Card Department. His
outstanding contribution to building up rapport with clients who are
going through serious financial constraints by providing viable
solutions to their problems earned him the coveted RBC’s Award for
Excellence.
Motha lives in Toronto with his family.
A former Sri Lankan basketball player he is an old boy of St. Peter’s
College, Colombo. |
