Musical Extravaganza in London

‘We, Children of the Pearl’ will be held at the Imperial College, Central London today.

The driving force behind We, Children of the Pearl is Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner in London Shenuka Senewiratne and other officials.

Providing creative leadership is actor and director Gamini Abeysinghe.

Singer and song writer Nimal Mendis has composed a special song for the occasion, Daughters, Sons and Chris Dhason’s We are Sri Lankanswill be sung by those at the event.

There will be veena recitals to the gaja dance, bharatha natyam to Malay songs and sounds of the Sigiri band to Muslim songs. Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims, Malays and Burghers will participate.
