Budget 2008 passed with majority of 47

The Government yesterday won the Third Reading vote of Budget 2008 with a majority of 47 votes. The crucial vote was considered to be one of the most decisive budget votes in recent history especially in view of defence and national security concerns.

MAGA wins Construction Excellence Award

MAGA Engineering won the excellence award at the ICTAD Construction Excellence awards ceremony at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo yesterday. It has won 22 Construction Excellence awards and merit awards and has made history by becoming the construction company which has won the highest number of awards in the field in Sri Lanka.
