The Bank won the award for the 1st runner-up for the Banking Sector, the Silver award for Corporate Social Responsibility Reporting and a Bronze award for Corporate Governance Disclosure.

The awards ceremony held on November 30 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel Colombo was attended by a gathering of the Corporate and Business sector of Sri Lanka.

Commenting on the awards won Managing Director/CEO HNB Rajendra Theagarajah said winning these awards reinforce the importance we place continuously on enhancing the standards we have set for our- selves in promoting high quality financial reporting.

The Silver award for corporate social responsibility reporting proves that HNBs transparency and clarity in reporting CSR efforts is recognised by a well respected panel of Judges who officiated at the awards and the Bronze award for corporate governance disclosure is a further testimony for developing a framework of enterprise governance which is well above the mandatory industry norms.

He said that he wishes to congratulate The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka for organizing the Annual Report Awards which will help raise the internal bar organisations set for themselves in financial reporting thus improving the quality and standard of disclosure.
