HNB wins three awards at Annual Report Awards 2007
Hatton National Bank won three awards at the Annual Report Awards
2007 competition conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of
Sri Lanka.

The Bank won the award for the 1st runner-up for the Banking Sector,
the Silver award for Corporate Social Responsibility Reporting and a
Bronze award for Corporate Governance Disclosure.
The awards ceremony held on November 30 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel
Colombo was attended by a gathering of the Corporate and Business sector
of Sri Lanka.
Commenting on the awards won Managing Director/CEO HNB Rajendra
Theagarajah said winning these awards reinforce the importance we place
continuously on enhancing the standards we have set for our- selves in
promoting high quality financial reporting.
The Silver award for corporate social responsibility reporting proves
that HNBs transparency and clarity in reporting CSR efforts is
recognised by a well respected panel of Judges who officiated at the
awards and the Bronze award for corporate governance disclosure is a
further testimony for developing a framework of enterprise governance
which is well above the mandatory industry norms.
He said that he wishes to congratulate The Institute of Chartered
Accountants of Sri Lanka for organizing the Annual Report Awards which
will help raise the internal bar organisations set for themselves in
financial reporting thus improving the quality and standard of
disclosure. |
