Members of the families who lost close relatives during the December 13, 2001 terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament stand at India Gate in New Delhi, The families of officers killed in the attacks have sworn to boycott paying tribute at the war memorial until the sentence of Mohammed Afzal Guru, convicted and sentenced to death for his involvement in the attack, has been carried out. The December 13, 2001 raid on Parliament left 15 people dead and also brought nuclear-armed India and Pakistan to the brink of war.
