Ashan leads u-19 team to Bangladesh

Nalandian Ashan Priyanjana will captain the 15 member Sri Lanka under 19 team for their tour of Bangladesh which begins on Saturday.

The Sri Lanka under 19 team will play five one day matches against Bangladesh from December 12 to 20. The tour has been organized in preparation for the under 19 World Cup which will be staged from February 17 to March 2 next year in Malaysia.

Sri Lanka will also host England and Pakistan in a Tri Series ahead of the World Cup. Sri Lanka who are seeded number six for the World Cup will battle it out in group C along with Australia, Nepal and Namibia.
