Munchee wins accolade

Ceylon Biscuits Company has been selected as the role model of business strategies in the highly competitive biscuit market according to a USAID management study report.

Ceylon Biscuits has become the market leader in the biscuit manufacturing market and is projected as a major competitor in the Sri Lankan chocolate market. The management study report was prepared by Nadan Associates. Munchee Biscuits started from grassroots level and gradually increased their market share in the Sri Lankan market.

At the end of 2005, Munchee Biscuits Company earned a turnover of Rs. 8.5 billion.

They have created a biscuit brand which is of high quality and ensures value for money, was stated in the report.

More emphasis has been given to the fact that this is a Sri Lankan Company which has competed with other major biscuit manufacturing companies from around the world and has become one of the sought after products in the world.
