Suntel recently marked the roll out of yet another CSR project,
erecting 100 highway emergency notice boards around the Southern
Province.
The project was initiated in collaboration with Southern Motor
Traffic Department to assist the public in reporting crimes and
accidents in the Southern Highway.
These emergency notice boards are to be spread across the Southern
towns from Bentota to Kataragama.
The inauguration of the project was declared in Ahungalle recently in
the presence of Vocational Training Minister Piyasena Gamage.
The emergency name boards carry a location specific number for
reference and a hotline which would enable the public to contact
authorities in the case of an emergency.
Suntel continues the project they embarked a few years ago with the
partnership of the World Wide Creation Development Centre, a
governmental authorised organisation employing youth who are within the
patient population of drug rehabilitation programmes to erect islandwide
street name boards. |
