Bomb attack did not panic investors

News of this morning’s bomb attack did not panic investors and both indices closed slightly negative. The ASPI slumped by 0.93 points or 0.04% to close at 2562.86 while the MPI moved down by 4.65 points or 0.14% to end the day at 3379.24.

The day saw a market turnover of Rs. 174.07 million (Mn.) BALA dominated activity with 0.66 Mn shares changing hands before closing at Rs. 17.00 followed by MAL with 0.46Mn shares.

The other stocks to which interest was drawn includes TESS. MADU and DIAL.

MAL contributed the most to Turnover with Rs. 13.14Mn.

This was followed by COMB with a turnover of Rs. 11.53Mn and BALA with a turnover of Rs. 11.02Mn. MPRH, BOPL, MORI and HAPU were among the top gainers.
