education and institutions such as SLIDA should be developed to attain
world recognition, Public Administration and Home Affairs Minister Karu

Management of Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA)
held yesterday.
Minister Jayasuriya said “most of our students go for higher studies
in foreign countries due to lack of facilities in our country. But
SLIDA’s achievements in the post graduation field should be appreciated
and it is a shining example in the development of the public service in
the country.” Jayasuriya said that in Australia, Education forms the
third highest component of the national income.
“The education sector of Sri Lanka should be modernised to face new
challenges in the existing world,” he added.

SLIDA for the employees in Public Sector as well as the Private sector.
On the delay in recruiting required staff for the Public Service,
