Rudd outlines future vision

Australia's Opposition Leader was to outline his vision for the country's future at an election campaign launch Wednesday, while his supporters said he would be more restrained in spending public money than the incumbent prime minister.

Former diplomat Kevin Rudd, whom opinion polls say is likely to win elections on November 24, is expected to focus on education, climate change and health policies in a speech at the center-left Labor Party launch in his hometown of Brisbane.
