World Travel Market 2007, the second largest travel exhibition in the world after the ITB Berlin, is nearly 2 per cent bigger compared to last year, welcoming 5,402 exhibitors from more than 200 regions and countries. Sri Lanka has a strong presence of 140 for the event.

For the first time there is a smoking ban enforced at the WTM and the security too was tighter with sniffer dogs in the premises.
