BMS daily market report

With most counters closing flat, the indices finished the day on marginal negative grounds, yesterday.

The ASPI fell 11.75 points to close at 2620.13 while MPI slipped 11.67 points to end at 3526.10.

Considerable interest was seen on BLUE (X) driven by speculation and a total of 2.58 million shares were traded. This was followed by another low valued counter CLAS which saw 1.47 million shares change hands.

HNB witnessed four substantial crossings today where in total 1.22 million shares were crossed at Rs. 105 per share contributing Rs. 128 million.

As a result HNB was the top contributor to the day's Turnover of Rs. 407.16 million with Rs. 132.61 million.

JKH saw three crossings and for the day a total of 0.56 million shares changed hands to contribute Rs. 72.29 million. SLTL contributed Rs. 33.2 million and DIAL followed with Rs. 25.06 million. While activity has shown signs of slight improvement lately, the market is hopeful of a continued trend before the generally quiet festive season towards the end of December.
