They have it three times a week!

MALAYSIA: Some 35 percent of Malaysians have sex at least three times a week compared to a global average of 10 percent of people, a report said Wednesday.

But 54 percent of Malaysians said sex thrice weekly was not enough against a worldwide average of 62 percent, the New Straits Times reported, citing the Durex Sexual Wellbeing Global Survey.

The poll showed 62 percent of Malaysians were satisfied with their sex lives, placing it in sixth place after Nigeria, Mexico, India, Brazil and China. The global satisfaction average was 50 percent.

Surprisingly for a conservative Muslim-majority country, 60 percent of the 1,026 heterosexuals surveyed said they considered themselves uninhibited.

The Malaysian respondents said more fun, more romance and better communication with their partners were among their top priorities to improve intimacy. “We hope that with the results, the topic will be more openly discussed,” said Voong King Yee, general manager of SSL Healthcare Malaysia.

“While we understand the sensitivities, we hope people will be more open,” Voong was quoted saying by the paper.

The survey polled 26,000 people in 26 countries.
