THE TAJ Airport Garden Hotel (TAGH) recently launched its Chinese
Specialty Restaurant, the Golden Dragon, with a new guise and a fresh
menu. The initial opening of the Restaurant was 21 years back, and has
since received a growing demand for authentic Chinese cuisine.
Re-opening of the Restaurant with a custom designed menu and a
striking brand new decor will attract more guests.
Speaking about the redesigning task, General Manager of TAGH, Sanjay
Singh said, "We were thinking of starting a new menu. We did a little
colour splashing here and there, and brought in some attractive
artifacts to give the interior an authentic Chinese touch.
The menu trials and the whole restaurant took us about three weeks.
It was also a very nice theme building exercise." He added that the
Golden Dragon is a centre of attraction among a lot of Asians from the
nearby Free Trade Zone.
The new menu introduces Chinese delicacies such as; 'Wok fried
Lobster and Mushroom in Garlic Butter', 'Deep fried crab laced with
Black Pepper', 'Crispy Whole Garoupa with Szechwan Sauce', 'Fried Fish
Dollp with Dry Chillie' and more.
All vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are prepared using imported
ingredients, by a total of 11 specialized Chinese and Lankan chefs. |
