BOI signs agreement for agro eco hotel at Dambulla

Agreement: President, Piero Massacci and Managing Director of
Green Paradise (Private) Limited W. C. K. A. Coonghe are being
presented their BOI Agreement by Dhammika Perera,
Chairman/Director General of the Board of Investment of Sri
Lanka. This is a project for an agro eco hotel in Kubukkadanwala,
Dambulla.

The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka signed an agreement with Green
Paradise (Private) Limited.
Chairman Director General Dhammika Perera signed the agreement on
behalf of the BOI.
The agreement with Green Paradise Resort is for a project to set up
the first Agro Eco Hotel in Sri Lanka. The project worth Rs. 252 million
will be located at Kubukkadanwala, Dambulla.
The construction of the hotel is due to start shortly and is expected
to commence services in December 2008. It will start with a work force
of 120.
Green Paradise (Private) Limited hopes to provide 20 selected youth
from the area with skill development and language training.
The company expects to make this a chain of resorts by constructing a
second Agro Eco Resort in south of the island. |
