LTTE weapons recovered in Tharavikulam

BATTICALOA: The Security Forces in a search operation at Tharavikulam in Batticaloa yesterday recovered a massive arms cache which included 53 T56 rifles, 64,900 ammunition and 680 mortar bombs, a spokesman from the Media Centre for National Security said.

This is the largest arms haul recovered by the troops since the area was liberated from the clutches of LTTE terrorists, he said.
