Air force pounds LTTE bases

MULLAITIVU: The Sri Lanka Air Force yesterday carried out an air strike targeting two identified LTTE targets in the South of Nedunkerni, Mullaitivu, Air Force spokesman Group Captain Ajantha Silva said.

SLAF fighter jets pounded a Tiger training camp and a heavy gun position”, at 6.40 p.m. Silva said.

He said the targets were precise and identified through the air base intelligence sources. He said both targets were completely destroyed causing heavy damages to the LTTE cadres, Silva said.
