The UN Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian
Affairs Sir John Holmes has assured the UN's fullest support for the

Mavilaru fraud: CID says Minister not involved
The Criminal Investigation Department probing
the massive fraud at the Agrarian Insurance Board and Agrarian
Service yesterday told the Colombo Chief Magistrate and Additional
District Judge Kusala Sarojini Weerawardena that the investigations
had revealed that Minister S. M. Chandrasena was not involved in any
of the transactions in the Agrarian Insurance Board fraud.
