Sri Lanka ‘A’ by ten wickets

CRICKET: Sri Lanka ‘A’ team touring England came up with a fine ten-wicket victory in their opening game against MCC in Arumdel. MCC made 167 in their first essay while Sri Lanka ‘A’ replied with 415/7 dec.

MCC made a little bit better score in the second innings scoring 254 leaving Sri Lanka six runs for victory which they achieved without losing any wicket. MCC 167 and 254 (A. Chopra 106) Sri Lanka ‘A’ 415/7 (J. Silva 118 n.o., W. Wijekoon 68, J. Mubarak 62, M. Udawatte 57) and 9 for no loss.
