Appeal against Rizana’s death sentence

RIYADH: The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Riyadh said it signed an agreement with the law firm Kateb Fahad Al-Shammari on July 11 to retain their services to file the judicial appeal against the death sentence imposed on Rizana Nafeek, by the Dawadami High Court last month.

The Asian Human Rights Commission, based in Hong Kong has agreed to bear the entire fees involved in Rizana’s legal defence.
