US$ 400 m international bond issue
COLOMBO: The Central Bank of Sri Lanka is planning to issue an
International Bond amounting to US$ 400 million or its equivalent in
international markets during September-October 2007.
The funds which will be mobilised through the proposed bond issue
will be used to finance the Government’s infrastructure development
programme.
This debut sovereign bond issue will also serve as a benchmark for
other corporate in Sri Lanka which have the capability of raising money
in international capital markets, the Central Bank said. |
